Do we go through times of adversity or do we make those times go through us?
Adversity is like chewing on hard candy; the more you chew on it, the more you savor the sweetness and goodness of it.
A prophet once said that blessings come from our responses to our afflictions.
Godly Sorrow Vs. Worldy Sorrow: Godly sorrow hurts, gives peace, purges us, is not imposed externally, motivates us to change, may hold us back by judging ourselves instead of forgiving ourselves. Satan sows an unforgiving heart. We must forgive in order to progress. If we find it troubesome to forgive or feel we cannot, we must recognize we can't forgive them by ourselves, and pray for our enemies...pray for the help to forgive.
